As a member of this peer group for mental health, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this mandate and agree to be bound by its terms and conditions.

DO:

  • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of other members and do not share any personal information without explicit permission.
  • Provide emotional support, empathy, and understanding to others seeking mental health support.
  • Encourage others to seek professional medical help when appropriate and necessary.
  • Share your own experiences and insights in a respectful and non-judgmental manner.
  • Listen actively and attentively to others and refrain from interrupting or dominating the conversation.
  • Follow all guidelines and instructions provided by the facilitator or organizer of the peer group.

DON’T:

  • Provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
  • Make promises or guarantees of any kind.
  • Discriminate against or harass any individuals based on their race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Engage in any form of abusive or inappropriate behavior towards others.
  • Share any personal or identifying information about yourself or others without permission.
  • Disrupt or interfere with the peaceful and respectful atmosphere of the peer group.
  • By participating in this peer group for mental health, you understand that the purpose of the group is to provide support, encouragement, and understanding to others, and not to provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. You also agree to respect the privacy and confidentiality of other members and to refrain from sharing any personal information without permission.
  • You understand that your participation in this peer group is voluntary and that you are not entitled to any compensation or benefits for your services. The facilitator or organizer of the peer group reserves the right to terminate your participation if you violate any of the terms and conditions of this mandate.
